Liaise with the Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) / Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation on matters relating to insurance premium on deposits. Work with Information Technology (IT) department to generate and submit the deposits data required by PIDM on annual basis. Attend to queries raised by PIDM on submission of deposits information. Handle the payment of deposit insurance premium to PIDM on annual basis.
Record and approve accounting entries for expenses incurred in the accounting system. Analyse operating costs.
Liaise with branches on their expenses incurred and guide branches on proper accounting of expenses incurred and on how to operate the accounting system to record the expenses.
Formulate the approval authority and payment procedures for expenses and monitor its implementation.
Implementing e-invoicing project of the Bank.
Year end accounts closing work, including organizing and providing guidance to relevant operational units.
Prepare analysis of expenses for corporate income tax computation. Compute the estimated amount of corporate income tax payable to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB). Liaise with tax agent on tax matters.
Secretary of Finance Committee and Centralised Procurement, compile and distribute meeting materials, prepare minutes and file meeting materials for record purposes.
To ensure strict compliance of the Bank, BNM, other regulators and ICBC Head Office's Policy, Procedure and Manual (PPM) issued from time to time.
Be primary responsible in managing compliance risk inherent in day-to-day activities, processes and systems for which it is accountable.
To undertake any ad-hoc tasks as and when required by Head of Department and/or the Senior Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must possess at least a recognized Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Professional accounting qualification (ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/CIMA/MICPA).
5 10 years of related working experience in finance reporting and taxation. Banking/financial services background and audit experience from large or medium size audit/firm is preferred.
Strong analytical and process skills.
Detailed, attention to quality of deliverables and ability to demonstrate initiatives.
Well-versed in Microsoft application (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
Willing to learn and work in a multitasking environment.
