Position SummaryProvide leadership, management and control related to procedures, processes, communications and dissemination of information on any changes in Dangerous Goods Regulations to various internal and external stakeholders systemwide. Accountable to maintain the highest level of security, safety and standard of passenger and cargo operations requirement and company procedures. Responsible for the management of the Quality Assurance Program for Airport Services and provides leadership for the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of quality systems policies and procedures in compliance to safety, quality and security requirements.
Key Accountabilities- Lead and manage collaboration with business units to identify items that are subject to Dangerous Goods Regulations and to ensure dangerous goods requirements are adhered to, according to the national/international regulations. Coordinate the gathering of technical data to support product classification.
- Formulate, manage development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to Safety, Quality Assurance and Dangerous Goods as per internal and external regulatory requirements. Develop, manage and implement effective risk-centric Safety and Quality Assurance program for Airport Services, CAAM and IOSA Ground Operations including passenger and cargo handling system wide.
- Point of contact with the local authority (CAAM) on matters related to Safety, Quality Assrance and DG Reglations. Responsible for all application for local and foreign DG permit and renewal. Lead and manage collaboration with business units to close any occurences pertaining to Dangerous Goods audits/safety investigation/oversight/surveillance, etc.
- Accountable to review and submit Dangerous Goods Manual (DGM) and Dangerous Goods Training Programme (DGTP) on a yearly basis to CAAM for approval. MAB DG Coordinator with coordination with head of respective business units, are responsible to maintain an accurate and up-to-date DG training records of all relevant staff
- Accountable, lead and manage aircraft technical related matters such as icing/deicing, aircraft cargo locking system, water servicing etc. Point of contact with respecive stakeholders on the new requlation and standard pertaining to Ground Operations technical matters for Airport Services.
Qualification & Working Experience- Degree in any field of study with 4 years of working experience
- Diploma in any field of study with 7 years of working experience
Skill & Knowledge- Competent in Dangerous Goods Regulations. Holding a valid Category 6 / Function 3 DG license.
- Experiences in Airlines Operations including Aircraft Technical, Ground & Cargo Operations in dealing with Dangerous Goods incidents, reporting, investigation and corrective actions.
- Knowledgeable in MAB - IATA and MAB Quality Assurance Programme.
- Knowledgeable in operational, safety, quality, training and standards.
Key Challenges - Roadblocks in achieving high closure of audit/risk items related to DG due involvement of multi stakeholders
- Heavy reliance on DG Coordinator in enforcing the DGM/DGTP compliance level within all Business Units
- Ensuring consistent compliance to tighter, changing and different mandatory regulatory, safety and security requirements system wide
