Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory:
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on a wide range of legal matters.
- Advise on legal risks and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the IT and data center industry.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership deals.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
- Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals and terminations.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external legal counsel as needed.
Dispute Resolution:
- Handle and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Manage external legal counsel and coordinate legal proceedings.
- Provide support in managing corporate governance and shareholder matters.
Policy Development:
- Develop and update company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and compliance matters.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the IT or data center industry.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
