JOB OBJECTIVEProvide an overall Information Technology Support and Services to the University and the development of the Information Technology Infrastructure and projects in supporting the University's needs and requirements.
Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
- Conducting daily backup operations.
Managing technical documentation & Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures.- In-depth knowledge of various computer systems, applications, and network security.
Manage and maintain the overall IT infrastructure of the property, including network connectivity, hardware, software, databases, and other related systems.
- Ensuring the security of data and information assets.
Understanding of cyber-security and risk management.- Establish best practices for IT security.
Participate in continual professional development.
- Maintaining required records for the executive member and department.
Recovery, re-installation / re-imaging of failed desktop and laptop computers.
Knowledge in the following is a requirement
- HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, cloud-native
Server and network architecture- Experience with server-side frameworks such as python, php
Experience with database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB
- Must have experience with multiple Operating systems (eg: linux,windows 7,10,11)
CI/CD tools, particularly familiar with Docker, Git (GitHub), and Jenkins.
Holding a degree/diploma in the following fields:
Computing Engineering
Candidate with a degree from the other fields and has at least three years working experience is also eligible
A candidate with degree must have a minimum 3 years working experience- A candidate with diploma must have a minimum 5 years working experience
