Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Interior Designer at Benten Berhad in Kuala Lumpur. The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for space planning, architecture, construction drawings, interior design, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). They will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and create designs that meet their needs. The Senior Interior Designer will also collaborate with the project management team to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities
- Carry out design concepts and details, 3D perspectives, 2D, layout plans and knowledge in residential and commercial projects.
- Involve in Site Measurement, Layout Plan & Selection of Material used.
- To ensure design and renovation targets for clients are met.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and objectives. Present design concepts and proposals effectively, and solicit feedback to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners. Coordinate with external stakeholders to procure materials, furnishings, and other design elements, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Ensure the highest level of design quality and craftsmanship in all projects. Conduct regular reviews and inspections to assess progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain design standards
Qualifications
- Space Planning, Architecture, and Construction Drawings skills
- Interior Design and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) skills
- Experience in creating innovative and functional designs
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a senior interior design leadership role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as 3D Max (MUST), Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
- In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, materials, and furnishings.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and design excellence.
