Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Finance Specialist will be responsible to provide professional accounting, tax, and other finance related services for entities within the group. You will be a key member of the group finance team to ensure accuracy, timely recording, and compliance of all finance operation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Perform the quarter-end, and year-end accounts close and ensure the accuracy of all general accounting entries in accordance with IFRS accounting standards.
  • Support and ensure the timely submission of statutory reporting, corporate tax, indirect taxes (VAT/GST/WHT) and annual return.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly reporting packs to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation schedules to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
  • Prepare monthly intercompany recharges and ensure compliance with transfer pricing documentation requirements.
  • Take lead and support annual subsidiaries audit process.
  • Liaise with company secretaries, tax agents, bankers, and auditors for finance related matters.

System Implementation:

  • Participate in new system/project implementation and data migration.
  • Conduct reconciliations to ensure accuracy of data migration.

Others:

  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement within the finance function.
  • Support the manager by taking on any other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting and reporting, with a degree in accounting/finance or completed professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA/CPA.
  • Familiar with taxes filing process.
  • Proficient in major accounting systems, Office 365 and MS Excel spreadsheets.
  • Prior exposure to external stakeholders (auditor/company secretary/tax agent) and familiarity with the regulatory environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Highly meticulous and detailed oriented with an eye for accuracy.
  • A growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in an international environment with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Fluency in Mandarin, enabling effective communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
