Description
- Compile and calculate standard costs for all raw materials and both produced and purchased finished goods.
- Help analyze the effects of costing and manage costs within the ERP system.
- Support the review of production overheads, analyze variances, and identify areas of concern.
- Ensure accurate recording of all costing data for analysis and reporting.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual material overhead and costing budgets.
- Conduct costing simulations.
- Review average costs in the system and identify variances or issues.
- Assist with cycle counts, stock counting processes, and stock reconciliations.
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing monthly accruals and provision journals.
- Manage inventory control, including stock reconciliation, tracking of obsolete and slow-moving items, write-offs, and stock takes.
- Prepare departmental P&L analysis reports compared to budget or forecast.
- Collaborate with auditors by addressing their requests and providing necessary documentation.
- Assist in creating monthly reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Support any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
Profile
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in cost accounting or product supply controlling functions.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification in ACCA, CIMA, or ICAEW is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing and logistics is advantageous.
- Familiarity with end-to-end supply chain and logistics processes.
- Proficient in product costing, inventory management, stock reconciliation, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of SAP or Oracle systems is preferred.
- Strong financial acumen
