Reporting into the General Manager Finance Construction, this role is responsible for the financial management of Construction entity. Purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate all aspects of regional financial and management accounting activities, overseeing the monthly closing process and the preparation of other necessary accounting reports to ensure timely, accurate, efficient and informed reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Key accountabilities include maintenance and review of GL, monthly, quarterly, half- yearly and annual reporting, preparation of various reporting packs.
Ensure monthly, quarterly, half year and annual financials are reported in time.
Responsible for managing third party providing Finance shared services
Assist Project Commercial team in preparing and updating Project cost forecasts, attend project reviews and ensure project costs forecasts are accurately reflected in all reporting.
Maintain Total Employee cost information and ensure all projects reflect accurate people cost.
Assist GMF in preparing Operational / Business plan in coordination with various function heads and business heads.
Review of policies and procedures, initiate and drive continuous process, internal controls and system improvements
Provide finance and accounting support for key operational projects and objectives, including business plans, new business, forecasting and analysis and tax initiatives.
To be considered for this role
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
An accounting graduate with ACCA or CPA or similar professional qualification
Prior experience with Real Estate Investment Management (including investment transactions) and Construction sectors preferable.
Experience in developing business plans and implementing financial mechanisms, and/or sound commercial acumen and in-depth understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.
Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through complex issues, guide and coach others in the resolution of problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
