We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior FF&E Designer to join our award-winning hospitality interior design team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in the selection, specification, and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for high-end hospitality projects. This role requires a deep understanding of design aesthetics, industry trends, and client needs to create luxurious, functional, and inviting spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- FF&E Specification: Lead the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for hospitality projects, ensuring that all selections align with the design vision, budget, and functional requirements.
Design Development:
Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine design concepts, incorporating innovative and high-quality FF&E solutions that enhance the overall aesthetic and guest experience.Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure project deadlines are met.Material and Finish Selection: Choose appropriate materials and finishes for FF&E items, considering factors such as durability, maintenance, cost, and design intent.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed FF&E schedules, specifications, and documentation for project presentations, client approvals, and procurement processes.
Quality Control:
Oversee the production and quality control of custom furniture and fixtures, coordinating with manufacturers and artisans to ensure design integrity and standards are maintained.Project Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, architects, and interior designers to integrate FF&E elements seamlessly into the overall design and construction process.Budget Management: Manage FF&E budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or design standards.
- Trend Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, new products, and innovations in FF&E design to provide cutting-edge solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
Mentorship:
Mentor and guide junior FF&E designers, providing feedback, support, and professional development opportunities.
RequirementsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in FF&E design within the hospitality sector, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator). Familiarity with FF&E specification tools and databases.
Creative Skills:
Exceptional design sense with a strong understanding of aesthetics, trends, and luxury market expectations.Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and justify design decisions to clients and stakeholders.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Portfolio:

Preferred Qualifications- Experience with sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials.
