Job Summary
Responsible for planning and monitoring the policies, strategies, and reports on the use of spectrum for mobile services in order to promote efficient use of spectrum and achieve the national policy objectives and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Operationalize the approved allocation method on the spectrum for mobile services to ensure the spectrum is efficiently utilized.
- Develop and recommend strategies and policies on the use of spectrum for mobile services in accordance with the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and other relevant regulatory instruments in achieving national policy objectives and initiatives.
- Implement and execute related policies and strategies to promote the efficient use of spectrum for mobile services and to achieve national policy objectives and initiatives.
- Develop, analyze and review the relevant guidelines for mobile services to maximize the utilization, minimize interference and optimize the usage of the spectrum.
- Collect and analyze the latest global developments in mobile technology through involvement in local and international working groups/study groups and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of mobile services.
- Evaluate the risk and impact associated with the proposed strategies and policies on spectrum planning and provide recommendations for continuous development of the communication and multimedia industry.
- Execute regular liaison with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of required input from/to the stakeholders.
- Assess and evaluate the rollout progress reports to ensure the commitment set by the relevant mobile operators is met.
- Manage the rollout progress report discussion/presentation by the relevant mobile operators.
- Prepare the rollout progress reports assessment and evaluation for reporting to the higher management.
Job Requirement
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or a relevant discipline from a reputable University/College with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of working experience in areas related to the telecommunication industry will be an added advantage.
- Exposure in areas of spectrum management especially in spectrum planning/monitoring will be an added advantage.
- Problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Multi-task, work independently, and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
