To assist the Manager, Legal and Secretarial in administering the overall daily operations of the department so that the legal and secretarial functions can be performed efficiently. Research and analyze legal issues and advise Management on the legal implications of their decisions
Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents
Provide legal advice and counsel to the Board of Directors, all levels of Management, employees and stakeholders of the organization affecting the company's operations, governance and advise on legal risks and implications of business arrangements, to support strategic and operational decision making
Develop, implement and manage legal policies, procedures and documents
To work closely with the Company Secretary in support of the handling of the full spectrum of corporate secretarial duties including the drafting and review of Board Papers, Circular Resolutions, Minutes of Board and Board Committee Meetings.
Bachelor's Degree in Law
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in law firm or in-house legal department
Experience in property development, conveyancing, construction, general corporate matters, industrial relations and secretarial practices
Conversant with the Companies Act 2016 and all aspects of corporate secretarial practice including taking and reviewing minutes of meetings
Strong knowledge of legal principles and regulations
Good command of English and Bahasa (both spoken and written).
