THE JOB
Research and analyze Eaglestar Code of Business Ethics (CoBE) related best practices, emerging trends, changes in law and regulations and issues in order to identify appropriate intervention programs to minimize risk of CoBE non-compliance and to safeguard Eaglestar Groups reputation and interest.
Develop CoBE compliance programs and modules to inculcate the desired standard of behaviour and ethical conduct across the Group.
Implement compliance training programs and modules as per approved policies, monitor (track, analyse and proposed action plan) and review effectiveness of related programs and initiatives, as required, to ensure that they are relevant and provide intended benefits.
To provide guidance and promote understanding of the relevant CoBE related policies in particular to anti-competition and/or anti-trust laws, economic sanctions, 3rd party risk assessment, human rights commitment and modern slavery and personal data protection.
Management of Conflict of Interest systems and processes.
To ensure the relevant MISCs compliance related policies and procedures are adopted and embedded in respective Eaglestar Division and ensure strict adherence to the policies and minimize non-compliance.
Conduct periodical compliance (including corruption) risk assessments and review mitigation plans for Eaglestar Group to identify any new risk exposure, causes of event(s) and potential impact.
To provide guidance and ensure the respective Division update Eaglestar Legal Register.
Coordinate data collection for compliance reporting and prepare relevant reporting documents.
To provide guidance and promote understanding in relation to IPR to ensure compliance with the relevant policies and regulations.
To assist in the due diligence exercise and analyse or review counterparties (clients or contractors) through risk assessment ratings and compliance review exercise to verify adequate mitigation plans are in place.
Track and ensure Eaglestar Legal Register is properly updated by respective Division to ensure relevancy and validity and propose action plans to mitigate risk, if any.
Facilitate timely completion and submission of the relevant compliance checklist for PETRONAS MyAssurance reporting and propose action plans for all identified gaps in consultation with the Division.
To provide legal services support to Head Legal in managing legal services to the Group.
THE PERSON
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Law or equivalent.
Required language(s): English.
At least 7 to 10 year (s) of relevant experience in compliance of related laws and regulations, including policies, guidelines and procedures.
Understanding and application of corporate governance principles and practices in managing a company.
Solid negotiation and drafting skills.
An ability to work in tight deadlines and under pressure.
Capability in building training modules.
Train the trainer skills.
