Job Description :
- Ensure that all SL/GL reconciliation is performed effectively and in a timely manner and provide for year end audit purpose.
- Maintenance of General Ledger policies & procedures.
- Execute daily, monthly and financial year end closing of accounts, reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Revenue items and preparation of audit schedules.
- Ensure accuracy of data extracted from core systems.
- Ensure completeness of account closing i.e all journals (manual, interfaces, recurring, reversal) are posted
- Ensure timeliness of month-end closings.
- Report on Variance analysis.
- Perform daily work and coordinate between team members within and outside the unit
- Support the Team Lead in reviewing processes, procedures to improve efficiency, control and compliance to all standards, guidelines and regulatory requirement.
- Ensure resolution of all identified audit issues.
- Keep abreast of new accounting standards, Takaful guidelines, Shariah and regulatory.
Job Requirements :
- Possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or a Professional Accounting Qualification (i.e. ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW, and other recognized bodies).
- A minimum of 5 years of working experiences in accounting field preferably in banking/insurance industry.
- Good analytical ability, understanding and knowledge in overall Insurance business and accounting system, and experience in IFRS17 is an advantage.
- Good command in English & Malay language.
