Job Description
Financial Controlling
Perform and assist the end-to-end execution of the day-to-day financial operations of the Company for AR, AP, intercompany, cash and bank, cash flow and other financial related transactions.
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and month end close process.
Analytical review of Financial Report and oversee the preparation of Balance Sheet Schedules and Reconciliations.
Ensure that accounting records are well prepared and maintained in accordance with the AirAsia's accounting policies and GAAP.
Analyze financial reconciliation data, identify gaps and recommend areas for improvement.
Liaise with intra-group Finance Personnel in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines for Finance operation issues.
Liaising and working closely with external/internal auditors, shared service function and other stakeholders.
Overseeing foreign outsource tax and accounting book (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines).
Cash Management
Assist in cash flow planning and management for the vertical.
Liaising and working closely between commercial team, finance team and other stakeholders to manage cash flow according to business pace and forecast.
Assist and support in strengthening and improving AR and AP internal control and processes.
Supports monthly AR review and Procure to Pay process.
All other banking matters including liaise with banker for customer refund processes and cash managements.
Vendors and customers management including customer services and payments.
Others & Ad-Hoc
Implement and coordinate ad-hoc finance business initiatives. E.g.: driving digitalization to increase efficiency and accuracy of the finance process and reports.
Improve efficiency and effectiveness of Finance Operation through process improvements and standardization.
All other ad hoc work assigned as required from time to time.
Qualifications
Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Math. Professional Accounting Qualification is a plus.
Possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting firm or financial servicesindustry. Experience in finance of a loyalty program industry is a plus.
Agile and ability to thrive in a demanding, change oriented, fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of deadline driven productivity and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
Numbers-savvy, proactive and possessing a positive attitude.
Must be meticulous and have an eye for detail in all aspects of work.
Must be a team player and able to work independently.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and people.
Innovative and retain fresh thinking with a passion for solving problems and an ability to inspire others.
High level of creativity and experience doing independent research.
Strong project management skills to execute special projects and strategic initiatives.
Work with speed and manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Must have good command of English.
Possess strong computer skills in Excel/Google Sheet and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
Experience in Google Looker Studio is a plus.
Good communication skills at all levels within an organization and can demonstrate excellent report writing skills.
