Job summary:
Actively lead improvements in demand forecasting by embedding S&OP process within demand planning and business partners. Identify Opportunities, Risks and other best practices and disseminating to colleagues. Manage and facilitate product demand forecasting for mid-long term horizon, incorporating various sources (e.g. sales, marketing, market & statistics.) to achieve the budget and desired service level and other key KPIs.
Main driver of S&OP process
General responsibilities:
- Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
- Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals.
- Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts
- Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends. Understanding high level / Global awareness impact to demand forecasting.
- Work with customers, sales team, client management and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
- Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities. (ROI/ past performance)
- Monitoring offtake vs forecast committed (of current month)
- Work closely with stakeholders resolving any demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Schedule monthly forecast meetings with (relevant) stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.
- Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy
- Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.
- KPI = Forecast accuracy and Forecast bias. In-depth root cause analysis.
- Manage the SKU rationalization process
- Key member of S&OP process, onboarding clients to S&OP.
Functional skills and knowledge:
- Demonstrate strong understanding and practitioner of Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process
- Demonstrate strong stakeholders management , active business partnering role and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of demand forecasting methodology/tools
- Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Demonstrate business/commercial acumen skills and consumer goods market understanding
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong understanding of supply chain management
Education:
Diploma/certificate in business, supply chain, logistics or related field
Work experience:
Minimum three to five years experience in a similar role
