Controller is the Business Partner for Product and Functional Managers, both Country and Station (where applicable), works closely with the Finance team to support the Product/Station Profit and Loss statements, include monthly reviews of financial performance with relevant stakeholders
Job Responsibilities:
- Business Partner to Product/Station Managers, Air Freight Commercial Centre / Ocean Freight Commercial Centre and Commercials
- Execute controlling processes and activities to collect, compile, verify and analyze financial and / or non-financial information to provide accurate and timely information for management decision making.
- Support and administer a range of Controlling processes and activities (from monthly reporting, financial planning and forecasting to budgeting, analysis, and business cases) for specific business area(s) as per set standards and timelines.
- Understand and support the setting of standards, targets, schedules, and improvements to enhance transparency and efficiency, e.g. through digitalization and automation.
- Effectively communicate the story behind numbers in terms business partners understand.
- Identify patterns of issues and suggest enhancements for Controlling processes and methods.
- Operational/file accounting, station metric experts
- Monthly Profit & Loss reviews of the Profit, Service and Cost centers
- Provide commentaries of the monthly financial developments for MMRs
- Measures performance and drives root-cause analysis of results (customer/sales channels/sector/product/ trade lane profitability).
- Initiates development of action plans, follows up and monitors implementation/effects.
- Inventory management include monthly reconciliation, tariff review, stock take.
We are expecting the incumbent to meet these requirements:
- Must possess Bachelor Degree of Finance and Accounting, or any equivalent academic background.
- At least 3-5 years business analysis experience preferably in the field of logistics.
- Controller experience with excellent in influencing, negotiate and resolve conflicts will be an added advantage.
- Skillsets require: Very good analytical, conceptual, problem-solving skills, presentation, and communication skills.
- Attributes require: Proactive, able to work under pressure, assertive, persistent and Team player and affinity to travel.
