The Role:

By narrowly defining the Core Purpose, youre able to define whats needed to solve the existing business challenge(s) At Entegris, a Sr Systems Engineer will focus on developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly IT infrastructure, InfoSec, and cloud operations. This role may be assigned leadership and mentorship responsibilities and possesses a strong automation and scripting background.

Ability to operate at varying levels including IT Infrastructure strategy, technical design, and implementation.
Capable of collaborating with stakeholders and project leaders to understand requirements, deliverables, and set expectations for deliverables.
Serves as the primary support for infrastructure (systems, storage, network, and security).
Automate the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure/network related tasks and devices.
Provides technical expertise in the areas of system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Manage effective relationships and work in partnership with various IT and business teams, vendors, etc., for the implementation and support of infrastructure and networking products and services.
Plan and prepare for disaster recovery, storage solution design, and provide performance analysis relating to data replication.
Provide, create, and update documentation on new or existing systems that include equipment lists/diagrams, and budgetary and system specifications.
Provide training and technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to IT staff and end-users when applicable.

8+ years of IT Infrastructure experience or Data Center Operations experience (IT infrastructure design, HCI, SDN, InfoSec, cloud compute, disaster/recovery, etc.)
8+ years of VMware experience (ESXi, VCF, vSAN, vSphere, HCX, SDDC, NSX & vRealize (Automation, Orchestration)
5+ years of cloud engineering experience (private/hybrid cloud)
5+ years of automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, PowerCLI, SQL etc.) added advantage.
5+ years experience working with IaaS & PaaS and native cloud services (Azure)
Experience planning and executing projects that require contribution from cross-functional team members.
Experience with private cloud infrastructure design and implementation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills- this role is heavily collaborative.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Semiconductor or manufacturing vertical including experience with operational technology and industrial networks 5+ years of maintaining Microsoft SQL server as DBA added advantage.
