JOB TITLE: SENIOR DESIGNER PIPING
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of designers in the design and drafting activities, producing calculations, estimates and technical drawings in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction activities.
- Prepare technical drawings from design sketches and engineering data.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the project quality system and recommends changes for improvements where applicable.
- Check the detail design documents for correctness and quality, marks-up any comments or revision on these documents and ensure that the changes are included and completed on the latest copies of all affected documents.
- Produce the various discipline deliverables to the agreed schedule.
- Apply recognized offshore engineering practices applicable to piping design and topside and plant layout.
- Apply good interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
- Perform duty as Lead Designer as and when required.
- Undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competency, as required by their supervisor from time to time.
- Integrate and/or consider Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) element in all activities to ensure company's QHSSE objectives and targets are met.
- Produces designs and drawings based on information received from Engineers. Prepares estimates supporting the preparation of associated requisitions. Cost/delivery impact situations are reviewed by supervisors.
- May make recommendations on technical scope of project design and layouts, consults with Supervisor on issues which may affect layout and deviations of equipment

- In depth knowledge with standard international specifications and codes i.e. British Standard BS, ASME, IBR, EJMA, AWWA, ANSI, API, NFPA and IS standards and code
- Knowledge in detailed Engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of international materials costs.
- Thorough knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures.
- Duties performed in Main Office mostly in air-conditioned surroundings. Approximately 90-100% of time spent on the computer. Occasionally incumbent would require to travel to sites and occasionally visit vendor workshops.
- Minimum Professional Certificate in Engineering in relevant field or minimum 15 years of solid working experience in Oil & Gas Industry.
