Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or DB2, Oracle RDMS- Design and implement database architecture to meet application and business requirements.
Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including patching and updates.
- Monitor and optimize database performance using indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques.
Diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks and issues to ensure optimal database functionality.- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.
Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures.
Implement and oversee database security policies, including user permissions and access controls.- Ensure adherence with data protection regulations and standards.

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with experience in providing 24x7 database support services.
- Possess at least 3 to 5 years extensive hands-on experience in MS SQL or DB2 or MySQL, Oracle RDMS
Professional certifications on Microsoft SQL (MCSA/MTA), Oracle or DB2 is an added advantage.- Solid understanding and working experience on Database Design and Data Warehousing preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of the database programming environments, including optimization, tuning, high availability DB configuration (e.g. cluster, log shipping), application interfaces, client/server architecture, secure coding practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and writing skills.- Practical experience in disaster recovery and high availability environment
Able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
