We will count on you to:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL Server and MongoDB database systems.
Develop and enforce database security measures, policies, and best practices.
Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.
Collaborate with the development team to support database-related activities, such as schema changes, data migrations, and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, working closely with other IT teams and vendors if necessary.
Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Implement and maintain database replication and clustering technologies for high availability and disaster recovery.
Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Mentor and provide guidance to Junior and Mid-Level DBAs, sharing knowledge and best practices.
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on SQL Server and MongoDB.
Strong understanding of database concepts, principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL Server and MongoDB database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Extensive experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and SQL.
In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Expertise in database security measures and best practices.
Experience with database backup and recovery procedures, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery planning.
Proven track record of successfully leading database administration efforts
What makes you stand out:
Certification in SQL Server or MongoDB administration.
Experience with cloud-based database services, such as Azure SQL Database or Amazon RDS.
Knowledge of other database technologies, such as Oracle or MySQL.
Familiarity with HA technologies such as clustering, AlwaysOn and replication.
Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with database automation and orchestration tools.
