What would you do

  • To prepare the account reconciliation for trade debtor, refund, reload, prepaid balance, credit card and bank reconciliation
  • To ensure that the reconciliation has been properly reconciled on a monthly basis within the stipulated timeline.
  • To prepare the account reconciliation for Trade Debtor, Terminal Prepaid/ Postpaid, RPA, POS Cash for reloads, process reload commissions, cheque replacement, purse zeroization, IBG refund control, unclaimed money and others
  • To resolve the missing batches and transaction exceptions arising from the reconciliation process.
  • To ensure reload monies collected by Cash in Transit (CIT)/ Service Provider (SP) to be banked in on T+1.
  • To follow-up with CIT/SP on variances between reload monies and Central Business Office (CBO) data.
  • To prepare journal template for reload monies and post into accounting system on a weekly basis.
  • To perform monthly closing activities and adhoc requests as and when required within the stipulated timeline.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for UTCIMB, UTAMBANK, UTMBB, Account 8, RHB ROP and investigate and outstanding open items on a timely basis.
  • To calculate and process reload commission accrual on a monthly basis.
  • Validate payment received from Service Provider which stated in company bank statement before giving instruction to RCS for reload and provide reload fee amount to Settlement team.
  • Prepare/ Review Monthly Ageing report and proactively follow up all the outstanding open items with the respective PIC
  • To support daily fund assignment to the service provider including weekends and public holidays as a rotation basis when it is necessary.
  • Handle audit timely and quality delivery of items requested by the external auditors by coordinating with external and internal parties.
  • Develop and update OSOPM, User Guidelines and Working Instructions as and when new enhancement is identified, implemented and communicated for the current process and workflow to ensure it is correctly documented.
  • To support continuous improvement project and perform UAT as and when required eg. system enhancement and etc.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments and tasks assigned from time-to-time.

Who should join us

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience with Audit/ Reconciliation background. Ideally in banking, insurance industry or shared services background.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, and has excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, preferably power user
  • Strong knowledge of book-keeping and accounting system (preferably Great Plains)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to perform complex reconciliations.
  • Strong commitment and a sense of urgency towards deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, flexible and adaptable to new challenges.
