The Role
You Will Be Responsible For
- Troubleshoots highly complex, intricate technical problems to ensure optimal service levels; works on multiple incidents and/or projects simultaneously
- Is viewed as an invaluable resource in the technical and operational aspects of one or more IT disciplines
- Is consulted as a subject-matter expert in areas of technology and technical operations
- Acts as a point of escalation in complex, critical instances and leads and directs the efforts of more junior staff during high-impact outages.
- Utilizes tools to verify and validate that proper thresholds and infrastructure/application information are represented and set appropriately
- Investigate major service interruptions and service interruption resolutions to insure future stability of infrastructure and data Leverages experience and knowledge to proactively engage in root-cause analysis and preventative projects.
- Reviews and approves documentation, diagrams, configurations, and tools and contributes to internal knowledge bases and departmental documentation
- Provides technical expertise in cross-functional and intra-departmental efforts
- May be involved in prototype and quality assurance activities throughout IT, product management
- Leads critical incident turnover with geographically dispersed teams.
Ideal Profile
- 4+ years experience in IT operations
- 4+ years experience with industry leading observability solutions (Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog etc.) to solve complex operational and performance issues.
- Experience of performance compliant design, sustainable solution architecture
- Experience implementing and integrating enterprise software applications.
- Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend cost effective and efficient solutions.
- Design and develop data models to support process and data integration.
- Ability to understand Moogsoft event lifecycle.
- Experience with event management and/or monitoring tools.
- Use communication and process skills to understand monitoring alerts/tools to ingest into Event Correlation tool.
- Vast knowledge on software configuration management systems
- Awareness of latest technologies and Industry trends
- Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.
- Proficient understanding of ITIL practices
