Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant Supervisor to oversee the accounting team and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining general ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is key in driving the financial stability of the organization by managing month-end closings, preparing financial statements, and overseeing audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial regulations, and company procedures.
- Manage the general ledger, including reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports and statements to senior management.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proven experience in general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in managing and mentoring accounting teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification.
- Experience with audits and tax compliance.
- Previous experience in budgeting and forecasting.
