Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day Full-Set Accounting duties for the company.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly accounts, perform journal entries, preparation of monthly financial reports, variance reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and group reporting pack.
- Liaise with both internal and external parties including bankers, auditors, tax agents, and company secretary on all statutory and tax requirements compliances
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditor requests, draft the financial statements and comply with statutory filing deadlines.
- Compliance with all tax and statutory requirements. Preparation of tax computation, tax estimations, and timely submission of all tax and statutory fillings (inclusive of direct and indirect taxes eg; SST, WHT).
- Maintain the accounting records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
- Evaluate and analyze financial information periodically to ensure effective cost control.
- Lead quarterly, interim, and final audit of the company to ensure they are completed timely
- Identify areas for improvement and participate in ongoing system/process simplifications and improvement projects.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- Professionally Qualified with accounting qualification(s) such as ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent
- Strong technical knowledge with Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and other regulatory financial reporting requirements
- Minimum 5 years of related working experiences
- Able to work well with the team in a fast-paced MNC environment
- Good communication skills in dealing with stakeholders
- Meticulous with good attention to detail, efficient, strong analytical skills
- Mature, passionate, and result oriented
- Strong sense of urgency & work responsiveness, ability to drive initiatives and work independently
- Proficient in MS Office especially Excel
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials or other similar enterprise systems.
