The RoleThe successful candidate will be required to work flexibly with other members of the nursing team on a roster basis to provide excellent care and comprehensive 24-hour cover within the school community. The experienced candidate will be required to work closely with pupils, parents, caregivers and teachers, offering support and advice on a range of issues, and playing a vital role in the management of childrens medical conditions. Having some knowledge of health promotion and insight into the health needs of both teenagers and younger children would be an advantage.
Generalist case management and nursing care within the College Sanitorium
- Providing emergency response on the sports field and at College events
Checking and recording patients vital signs on admission- Diagnostic procedures for children in care
Managing medical files
- Checking, recording and maintenance of medical stocks and supplies
Promoting health and wellness activities- Telephone support and general medical advice and communication as required
Weekend and evening cover on a roster basis to ensure wrap-around student care
- Any other medical / nursing-related duties as deemed appropriate by Management.
