Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our preschool team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and child-friendly meals and snacks, adhering to dietary guidelines and food safety regulations. In addition to culinary duties, the Chef will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation:
Plan and prepare balanced meals and snacks that meet the nutritional needs of young children.
Cater to dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring all meals are safe for consumption by all children.
Develop and maintain a rotating menu that is both appealing and nutritious.
2. Food Safety and Hygiene:
Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served in a hygienic manner.
Regularly clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, surfaces, and dining areas.
3. Inventory and Budget Management:
Order and manage food supplies within the allocated budget.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the timely ordering of supplies.
Minimise waste and implement cost-effective measures.
4. Cleaning Duties:
Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, including countertops, sinks, and floors.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment after use.
Ensure the dining area is clean and organised before and after meals.
Dispose of waste and recycle according to the preschools policies.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the preschool staff to coordinate meal times and special events.
Communicate with parents regarding their childs dietary needs and preferences.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of the preschool community.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
