i. Familiarize yourself with the relevant legislation.
ii. Supervise the safe performance of building/site work and also in regard to safety of workers.
iii. Cause every excavation to be inspected by a competent person once before and after any rain, and ensure that these inspections are recorded in a register.
iv. Ensure that all workers understand the hazards attached to work performed by them.
v. Be in possession of proof that all workers have attended formal training regarding scaffold erection and dismantling hazards and the precautionary measures to be taken.
vi. Report to your superior immediately all incidents and accidents that come to your attention and present immediately in the site if any accidents occur.
vii. Prepare monthly site progress reports and submit to your superior not late than second week of the month.
viii. Prepare monthly claims of the site and submit to your superior before 18 of every month.
ix. Comply and ensure compliance with contractors, company policy and the relevant sections of the OSHA.
