Karooooo Ltd., Headquartered in Singapore, is a leading provider of an on-the-ground operations cloud that maximizes the value of data. The Cartrack (wholly owned by Karooooo- Listed in NASDAQ) SaaS platform provides insightful real-time data analytics and business intelligence reports.
In this role, you are the key business partner working closely with the management, responsible of defining and implementing the SoX control framework as well as identifying opportunity and working on the operation and finance transformation for the Group.

Responsibilities:
SOX Compliance
Be part of the global finance - SOX team (be it internal/external) to lead the Group's SOX strategy and implementation
Define, planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the internal SOX controls framework to ensure compliance with requirements of SOX.
This includes efforts around all internal controls over financial reporting (ICFRs) as well as IT Application Controls (ITACs) for the Group
Perform SOX management reporting of status of SOX deployment/testing and deficiencies.
Evaluate and identify control deficiencies and work with stakeholders to recommend for remediation plans and perform validation and follow up on the remediation actions
Serve as a subject-matter expert on SOX related topic as well as Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
Train and educate employees on SOX requirements and the correct execution of processes.
Finance Transformation
Drive transformational change in the finance processes through process streamlining, simplification and automation of the various tasks
Knowledge in excel Macro or analytics will be an added advantage.
Ensures efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures.
Identify and recommend ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits
Work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders across the Asia Pacific business units
Assist with Ad-hoc project as required by the Group Finance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance or equivalent
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA)
Min 7 to 10 years of external audit and risk advisory (including Sarbanes-Oxley) with a big 4 accounting firm or candidate with solid internal audit experience especially within the FMCG, Technology and/or start up
Experience in finance transformation project is a plus
Good knowledge in ERP system enhancement project experience to be able to execute transformation change and process streamlining efficiently
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
Proficiency in Microsoft excel and/or VBA or Macro
Emotional intelligence and meticulous, detail oriented
Strong in project management experience
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of quality work product and output
Travelling is required for this role (especially with the Asia Pacific region) 10-30%
