Job Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Consultant to join a consultancy company for a projected 1-year project based in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves implementing and optimizing the SAP Materials Management (MM) module to support the supply chain operations of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP MM, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients to deliver successful SAP solutions within the project timeline.
- Lead the implementation and configuration of the SAP MM module for client projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather detailed requirements and translate them into SAP MM solutions.
- Manage procurement processes, including vendor management, purchase orders, goods receipt, and invoice verification.
- Optimize inventory management processes, including stock transfers, inventory levels, and materials planning.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the SAP MM module during the project lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP MM-related issues to ensure smooth business operations.
- Conduct user training and develop comprehensive documentation to support end-users.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, WM, FI).
- Participate in testing, go-live, and post-go-live support activities to ensure successful project completion.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency within SAP MM.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an SAP MM Consultant, with a focus on configuration, implementation, and support.
- Strong understanding of SAP MM processes, including procurement, inventory management, and materials planning.
- Proven ability to work closely with clients to gather business requirements and design effective SAP solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the SAP MM module.
- Strong communication skills to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
- Previous experience working in a consultancy environment is preferred.
