Position: SAP FICO Consultant with Period End Closing Expertise

Roche Informatics combines human expertise with cutting-edge technology to evolve the practice of medicine, delivering innovative solutions across major disease areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with finance business groups to understand their processes and information needs
- Identify, design, and implement SAP FICO solutions to meet business goals
- Utilize expertise in BlackLine Reconciliation & Smart Close within the SAP Finance domain
- Provide strategic direction for solution components, ensuring effective mapping of business needs to technology
- Create technical design documents and assess functional and technical solutions
- Ensure solutions align with Roche Financial Core requirements, including systems, interfaces, and platforms
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP FICO, working closely with product managers and stakeholders
- Facilitate and validate system and user acceptance testing
- Ensure smooth handover to support and operations teams
- Adhere to Roche IT standards, including security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Period End Closing (PEC) processes
- Expertise in various PEC tools; BlackLine tools knowledge preferred
- Extensive experience in end-to-end finance and controlling operations
- Solid understanding of business processes
- SAP hands-on experience in FICO integration and other interfaces
- Proven ability to drive solutions, open to new ideas, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience in global template design development and rollouts preferred
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Proven expertise in global, multicultural environments
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or validated environments beneficial
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, with a focus on virtual collaboration
