We are seeking a seasoned SAP FICO Consultant to join our team on a 2-year contract (extendable by 1 additional year). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and hands-on experience in IT transformation projects within SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with tribe leads to analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications for SAP modules.
- Customize the SAP system by writing functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Perform thorough gap analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute test plans; conduct UAT testing to ensure IT solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Create functional specifications and user stories for IT development projects.
- Provide end-user documentation, training, and support on system usage.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience, preferably in the financial or insurance industry, with exposure to IT transformation projects.
- Strong foundational knowledge of financial accounting, especially general ledger and financial reporting standards.
- Experience working on finance transformation programs.
- Expertise in SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA Finance, and business intelligence tools (e.g., SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, SQL).
- Strong project management and communication skills; familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Team player who can work effectively and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
