The Service Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving sales growth by implementing strategies to secure sales from preventive maintenance service, parts and components, breakdown and repair, refurbishment, etc.
The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating service scope and commercial terms, ensuring efficient project execution, and contributing to the long-term success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Implement the sales strategy to boost sales, secure service contracts, and maintain them, ensuring the achievement of order and sales targets.
Promote service sales, sales of parts and components, and refurbishment sales to customers. Respond promptly to inquiries by preparing quotations and tenders, negotiating terms within the assigned authority levels, and ensuring quotes meet profitability targets and contract terms.
Review and negotiate service scope, technical offers, commercial terms, costing, etc. to safeguard the company's interests and maximize sales revenue.
Closely follow up the efficient execution of all service jobs by the operation team, and provide prompt updates to the customers for relationship building
Liaise with internal operation team whenever customers face technical issues, warranty claim, etc.
Provide product knowledge training and on-site equipment usage and application training to customers when required to enhance product familiarity.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers through regular visits to ensure long-term business continuity.
Monitor manhours, efficiency, human load factor, and resource utilization captured in SAP against the budget to maintain project profitability while ensuring proper resource utilization.
Follow up with customers and coordinate with the Finance and Admin Department to ensure timely invoicing and prompt collection of overdue debts.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events to promote the company's products and service contracts.
Stay updated with the latest developments and trends of the market and recommend the best products/ services to the right clients.
Identify new markets and product applications and grow the key customer base.
Ensure that daily sales activities are accurately recorded in the CRM system and use analytics to devise sales strategies.
Regularly report to the Service Sales Manager on sales performance, pipeline, and forecast.
Manage sales offers outside the Malaysian market when assigned.
Perform any other duties as required by the Service Sales Manager and General Manager of Sales.
Job Qualification
Bachelor Degree/ Diploma in any architecture / engineering / construction related discipline.
Certificate holders with experience are welcomed.
Minimum 2 years working experience in related field, particularly in service sales or a technical sales environment.
Strong understanding of technical products and services.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems and SAP for project monitoring.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
