Job Description: Sales Representative (Kota Kinabalu Region)
Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia
Reporting to: Head of Sales (Based in Kuala Lumpur)
Job Summary:
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our company's products and services in East Malaysia and its surrounding areas. You will play a crucial role in generating revenue by acquiring new customers, maintaining existing relationships, and achieving sales targets set by the company. This role involves extensive interaction with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs. Additionally, you will be required to report to the Head of Sales based in Kuala Lumpur, providing regular updates on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in East Malaysia and neighboring areas.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing brand awareness and driving sales.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to the Head of Sales, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and conferences to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and professional development.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably in the B2B sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 3 years of experience as a Sales Representative. Those with Tourism background will be an added advantage.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Residency in Kota Kinabalu or willingness to relocate.
