Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Educational Segment promoting our Educational and Learning business segment. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in sales management within the travel industry, possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and be committed to achieving revenue targets. As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, building strong client relationships, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Promotion and Recruitment: Actively market the Program to schools, reaching out to decision-makers to showcase the value of our educational and learning program.
- School Partnerships and Enrolment: Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, ensuring seamless onboarding and long-term partnerships.
- Sales and Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to attract educational institutions, meet enrollment goals, and drive program growth.
- Operational and Administrative: Oversee the operational and administrative processes necessary for program success, including securing approvals, coordinating logistics, and managing documentation.
- Government and Compliance Management: Prepare and submit applications for necessary government approvals, ensuring the program adheres to all regulatory requirements.
- Program Participation: Attend and co-facilitate program sessions as required to support smooth execution and strengthen relationships with partner schools.
- Sales Targets and Performance Monitoring: Set ambitious but achievable sales targets, monitor progress against these targets, analyze sales performance, and implement corrective strategies as needed.
- Vendor and Supplier Collaboration: Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure favorable terms, develop competitive pricing strategies, and work closely with suppliers to enhance program offerings.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and ensure a seamless experience from sales through to travel/project operations.
- Client and Partner Relations: Address client and partner feedback promptly and effectively, maintaining strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Percentage increase in sales revenue compared to previous periods.
- Sales team conversion rates and individual sales representative targets.
- Client satisfaction scores and feedback.
- Number of new clients acquired, and existing clients retained.
- Average sales cycle length and conversion rates.
- Sales pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
- Percentage increase in profit margins through effective negotiation.
- Number of successful contract negotiations and renewals.
- Resolution time for customer concerns and issues.
These KPIs will serve as measurable indicators of success and effectiveness in the role of Sales Manager, helping to assess performance, drive continuous improvement, and align efforts with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, ideally in educational programs or similar fields.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage diverse tasks, including government applications.
- Strong command in English and Bahasa Malaysia both oral and written. Added proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Words, Excel, and PowerPoint, working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI would be an advantage.
