SALES ASSISTANT (IN-STORE)

Overview:
As a Retail Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail establishment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with various tasks to support the efficient functioning of the retail space. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

• Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products or services.

Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding product features, pricing, and availability.

• Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

• Merchandising and Inventory Management:

Ensure that shelves, displays, and product racks are properly stocked and organized.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking merchandise as needed.

Participate in inventory counts and assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments and verifying deliveries.

• Store Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including cleaning shelves, counters, and floors.

• Ensure that product displays are attractive and visually appealing.

Assist with the setup and takedown of promotional displays and seasonal decorations.

• Assistance with Operations:

Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security measures.

• Follow established procedures for handling and documenting returned merchandise.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve store goals and objectives.

• Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

• Follow relevant regulations and guidelines regarding the sale of age-restricted products (if applicable).

Report any safety hazards, incidents, or irregularities to management promptly.
