a. To assist investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease in workplace.
b. To carry out inspections and report any findings in terms of safety and health issue.
c. To do monitoring of welding activities in production perform by engineering staff.
d. To assist and liaise closely to manage issues relating to the facilities, fire safety equipment, chemical management and safety audit non-compliances.
e. To provide support in coordinating and organizing the safety & health programme in workplace.
f. To record and review relevant safety signage, first aid and spill kit provisions throughout the buildings.
g. To assist in managing the contractor performing activities in the factory.
h. To assist in record keeping of safety & health documentation.
i. To handle any ad-hoc task given by superior.
j. To handle fire fighting operating system, fire extinguisher, sprinkler, fire alarm bell and monthly servicing
k. To assist on the implementation on Permit to Work and Hot Work permit to contractors and vendors
l. Provide support to Safety Executive in implementing Safety and Health program
m. Ensure/issue personal protective equipment to workers at respective workplace and monitor the issuance of the equipment by sub-contractors to their workers
n. Be able to lead and manage the in-house and external security personnel
o. Able to manage Emergency Response Management
p. In charge of medicine replenishment of First Aid Box and renewal of Fire Extinguisher certificate
q. To assist on Hostel handling for fire safety and yearly emergency drill.
JOB REQUIREMENT
a. At least 1 Year of working experience in the related field is an added advantage f or this position.
b. Must have knowlegde in Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 , Factory Machinery Act 1967 and other relevant statutory requirement, policies and regulation.
c. Experience in handling in any safety audit such as OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 internal and external will be an added advantage
