About The Department
The
Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group's business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.
Job Responsibilities
- Upkeep of risk management related policies/frameworks and e nsure consistencies with Group counterparts, and also suited to local business requirements and local regulations. Ensure annual review conducted timely and accurately (Risk Appetite Framework, Risk Governance Framework, Risk Culture and Conduct Risk Framework, Risk Appetite Statement.
- Upkeep and monitor the Bank's Risk Appetite Statement (RAS). Coordinate and work with Business Unit (BU)/Support Unit (SU) to ensure timely reporting/tracking of Monthly Entity RAS dashboard and Monthly BU RAS dashboard. Perform annual review of the Bank's RAS according to the Group's guidelines but adapted to suit local business requirements and local regulations.
- Implement and monitor growth of Risk Culture within the Bank via various risk culture tools. Work with the Risk Culture Champions within the Bank in implementing initiatives launched by Group. Update Risk Culture dashboard for submission to Group and local tier 2 committees.(Half-yearly Risk Culture & Conduct Risk dashboard).
- Upkeep and maintenance of the Recovery Plan (RCP). Ensure RCP is reviewed annually, accurately, remains relevant to current local business practices and compliant to local regulations. Ensure close collaboration with various units across the Bank in the upkeep of the RCP.
- Provides Secretariat support and coordination for the Risk & Capital Committee (RCC). Follow through with relevant stakeholders on all actionable matters arising from RCC decision/discussion.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder with more than 7 years of related credit experience.
- Diligent, yet agile and creative in developing ideas and solutions to problems.
- Good team player, able to work as part of a dynamic, results oriented team.
- Able to plan and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills,
- Confident and able to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
