Job Purpose/Summary:
Provide leadership and coordination of Retail sales functions. Implement effective go to market model for Key Account Modern Trade and Distributor. Monitor and analyze retail sales activity against goals to take appropriate corrective action on timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Achieves Retail sales operational objectives as per strategic plans and reviews and contribute Retail sales information and recommendations for preparing Strategic plan;
Meets Retail channel sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and KPIs for Key Account customers and Distributors in support of company objectives together in collaboration with Brand and Trade Marketing.
Guides and coaches Key Accounts / channel sales Managers; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; tracking competitors
Implements trade promotions along with Trade Marketing by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending
Responsible for growing market share for company products in Retail channel.
Develop and lead effective go to market model to maximize brand coverage and distribution.
Effectively manages Retail distributors, implement distributor management best practices to achieve optimum Sales Force Effectiveness.
Conducts one-on-one review with all Key Account Executives & Sales Representative to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executives sales and activity performance.
Provides timely, accurate, market intelligence to formulate pricing strategy and implement approved pricing structure on all company products, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
Requirements:
Education:
Minimum a Bachelors degree
Experience:
Minimum 10 years work experience in FMCG preferably in the Food Industry with Modern Trade experience and managing key retailers in Malaysia.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a large team
Strong finance and data acumen
Excellent communication and influencing skills
