Job Title: Research AssistantA Research Assistant is a key member of the research team, responsible for providing support in various aspects of the research process. This role involves collaborating with researchers, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the overall success of the research project.
- Literature Review. Conduct thorough literature reviews to gather relevant information on the research topic.
- Summarize and synthesize existing research findings to inform the current study.
- Assist in designing experiments, research protocols, or survey instruments.
- Collect data through various methods, including experiments, surveys, interviews, or observations.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data collection processes.
- Carry out laboratory tasks, such as maintaining culture, sample preparation, assays, and other experimental procedures.
- Exemplary lab log book practices and attention to detail in recordkeeping.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to the research project, including ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, and managing schedules.
- Contribute to the preparation of grant applications, journal/publications and research proposals.
- Contribute to research and development to meet project milestones.
- Maintain standards consistent with company culture and values.
- Maintain the standards of scientific rigor. Ensure compliance with ethical standards and guidelines, especially in research involving human subjects or sensitive data.
- Work closely with team members (internal and external) to maintain project/product development, implementation and troubleshooting of experiments, and ensure deliverables for both internal research projects and scientific partnerships.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Provide training and guidance to new members of the research team. Mentor undergraduate students or interns involved in the research project.
- Carry out activities in compliance with the Companys policy and other duties as and when requested by the Company.
- Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sciences including but not limited to Medical Science, Biotechnology, Life/Health Science or its equivalent; additional education in a relevant field is a plus.
Passionate in working in a laboratory environment and willing to learn.
Responsible, committed, self-motivated and result oriented individual.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in relevant research methodologies and data analysis tools.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in a research setting is often preferred.
