Summary of Primary Role:

As a Research Analyst, you will have a pivotal role in the development of standardized time series, safeguarding the integrity of our esteemed Global Economic Monitor database, conducting thorough quality checks, and actively contributing to the research and advancement of CEIC's exclusive proprietary data. Working as part of our dynamic global team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues from around the world, thus making a significant contribution to the evolution of one of CEIC's flagship products.

Responsibilities:

• Delve deep into market trends, utilizing our cutting-edge in-house methodologies and standards to develop standardized time series that establish the industry benchmark.
• Support our commitment to quality by implementing and adhering to rigorous in-house measures of data quality control, ensuring the utmost integrity of our proprietary databases.
• Push the boundaries of research by exploring cross-country standardization methods for economic data, bringing valuable insights to the forefront.
• Handle bulk data processing and transform raw economic data into ready-to-use proprietary data and insights.
• Assist our clients and frontlines by addressing their queries on our proprietary data.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a global team across various time zones, leveraging your proactive communication skills and teamwork spirit.

Requirements:

• Hold a degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related field, demonstrating your dedication to understanding and analyzing data-driven insights.
• Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in economic data research.
• Demonstrate a firm grasp of key economic and statistical concepts, combining your analytical ability with a keen sense of organizing and compiling economic data series.
• Exhibit an unwavering attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Communicate fluently in English, both in writing and orally, ensuring effective collaboration and seamless information exchange.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing your self-drive, quick learning abilities, and remarkable multitasking skills under pressure and tight schedules.
• Prior experience in data research and maintenance of a time-series database will be an added advantage.
