Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Security Manager to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will serve as the senior-most security executive in the Asia Pacific region, responsible for the identification, development, implementation, and management of the organization's global security risk strategies and related programs across all business units and regionally based headquarters operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee security operations in major countries across the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
- Provide security goals, planning, and implementation strategies to local, country, and regional management.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting employees, brands, facilities, information, and assets from risks such as assault, theft, tampering, and unauthorized disclosure.
- Plan, develop, and implement security protocols with a focus on effectiveness, cost, maintenance, and alignment with global security objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including executive leaders, regional teams, and in-market personnel.
- Lead investigations into loss, theft, fraud, and other security incidents as needed.
- Play a leadership role in regional crisis management and other regional teams and committees as appropriate.
- Collect and analyze intelligence to anticipate significant risks and trends that could impact employees, operations, and assets.
- Maintain relationships with in-country governments, law enforcement, intelligence assets, and international security agencies.
- Provide security oversight and management for both on- and off-site events across the region.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with a corporate security department in a regional role or supporting a regional role.
- Proficiency in English (speaking and writing); Mandarin skills preferred.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designations are preferred.
- Proven experience in conducting investigations across multiple countries.
- Knowledge and experience with CTPAT and/or TAPA standards.
- Experience in security systems design and installation.
- Strong knowledge of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams); SAP knowledge preferred.
- Ability to travel to regional operations, high-risk locations, and meetings on short notice (approximately 40% travel required).
