Control Risks is currently working with a key client, a prominent multi-national company, headquartered in China.
Acting as the client's security expert in the APAC (ex-China) region, the embedded Security Adviser will be responsible for handling all security matters and security challenges related to the client's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an annual security plan for regional offices.
- Carry out yearly security evaluations of facilities in high-risk countries within the region, offering recommendations for enhancements.
- Engage in the appraisal, selection, and consistent service quality audits of security vendors across the region.
- Maintain relationships with local authorities, governments, and law enforcement agencies.
- Regularly assess risks pertaining to the regional security situation, collaborate with management on the origins of these risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.
- In the event of security emergencies and crises, take on the role of the primary crisis management coordinator for the region.
- Create or update emergency procedures for the regional countries and conduct on-site drills.
- Oversee the periodic review and stockpiling of emergency resources in various countries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher;
- A minimum of 7 years experience in security management, including at least 2 years in high-risk security management outside China;
- Over 3 years experience in regional safety management within large multinational corporations;
- Experience working within a Chinese management structure will be well regarded.
- Native or business-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
