Our is a leading player in the international commodity trading market, specializing in providing high-quality chemical products to customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Regional Sales Executive to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our success in the South Asia (SA) and Southeast Asia (SEA) regions while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

External Factors:

This role requires exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills to navigate multicultural environments in South Asia and Southeast Asia. The candidate must be adaptable to cultural differences and capable of fostering close cooperation with joint ventures (JVs) and customers from various countries within the assigned territory.

Accountabilities of the Job:

  • Under the leadership of the Regional Sales Manager, manage the customer portfolio in SEA & SA by maintaining regular communication with customers, traders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the key Single Point of Accountability (SPA) to negotiate price, volume, payment terms, sales contracts, and shipping schedules with term/spot customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop term customer offers and negotiate term supply contracts with existing and new customers.
  • Gather market intelligence and maintain a detailed understanding of the competitive environment for Acetic Acid and its derivatives market in SEA & SA.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales forecasts for supply allocation planning and marketing analysis.
  • Analyze market information to provide insights on sales, marketing projects, and analysis studies.
  • Liaise with the logistics team on operation planning, shipment scheduling, and resolving shippers-related concerns to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve issues related to shipment, vessel operation, supply chain, quality, and service to ensure customer engagement.
  • Keep customers updated on their operations/sales, project development updates, financial status, etc.
  • Formulate and implement SEA & SA market strategies and tactics to optimize product margin.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of customers.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field or extensive professional experience.
  • 4-5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the commodity chemical business.
  • Proven track record of sales achievement.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to conduct business negotiations effectively in both languages.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  • Personable and diplomatic in handling clients from all levels and multiple countries.
  • Strategic thinking, innovative, passionate, with a strong drive for excellence and implementation skills.
  • Target-oriented, organized, with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A team player with the ability to identify and quickly assess potential opportunities.
  • Willingness to work overtime when there are targets or timelines to meet.
  • Willingness to travel extensively domestically and internationally on short notice.
