About The Role
As a Regulatory Affairs and Safety Manager at Reckitt, your regulatory expertise becomes a pivotal part of our business's success. In this role, you will assist Regulatory Affairs & Safety Director in providing regulatory activities and product safety support for Reckitt products (Hygiene category). You will also lead the on-going regulatory compliance, notification, and registration of Reckitt's hygiene products (Pesticides and household).
Your responsibilities
- Liaise with a range of colleagues from Country marketing, R&D, supply, and global/regional regulatory teams, and work closely with external partners, contractors and licensees to ensure that regulatory, safety and medical affairs issues are properly managed and resolved.
- Compilation of registration dossiers for submissions to authorities.
- Preparation, maintenance and update of product registration/license and regulatory compliance files.
- Amend the registration dossiers as necessary for country-specific regulatory requirements and overseeing the submission of registration/variation applications and negotiating with governmental authorities to obtain rapid approvals.
- Managing and maintaining regulatory documentation filing system.
- Be a Regulatory Consultant to the appointed regulatory person from local manufacturing plant to support export business
- Developing and maintaining a database of local regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and interpreting local regulatory issues and trends that will impact the marketability of company products, ensuring that the company is aware of significant local regulatory issues, and proactively leading the development and implementation of strategies to ensure regulatory compliance efforts that result in competitive advantage.
- Support the Country Head in the Interfacing with local government agencies and industry associations to assess the impact and implementation of required company compliance with all regulations, laws and industry policies that affect the ingredients, packaging, marketing, advertising, labelling and production of our products.
The experience we're looking for
- Must have a degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, human biology, human medicine, veterinary, medicine, biochemistry or biology
- Language skills: Fluent in English and Malay language.
- Minimum 3-5 years experiences in Pesticide category (or other category e.g biocides, household, raw materials or chemical of agriculture), and within a FMCG environment, with experience in Regulatory and/or Safety.
- Broad knowledge of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei regulatory healthcare systems.
- Good working relationship with related government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Experience in handling issues resolution in regulatory affairs
- Sound performer in interacting with, and influencing regulatory authorities and political lobbies
- Proven track record in active collaboration with R&D and non-R&D functions as well as third parties
- Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative and persistence and a very much hands-on approach to results delivery
- The ability to effectively manage projects and relationships with local partners, contractors and consultants to achieve Reckitt's objectives
