DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Generally in-charge of the Imaging Department
Plan and provide the information related to imaging procedures, technical & infrastructural requirements and other related issues pertaining to the set up of the entire department..
Provide the monthly forecast budget to Account department
To prepares weekly / monthly reports for management review.
Perform the task of Imaging procedures.
Conduct the maintenance and calibration procedures required to keep the imaging equipment / processor under the best operation condition.
Liaise and source for potential suppliers when required for purchases.
Ordering and renewal of monthly X-Ray film badge monitoring to MINT.
Apply or renew annually X-Ray license to Ministry of Health.
Monitor the stock level, stock ordering and inventory.
Assist the Radiologist in the CT Scan or where ever needed.
Supervise and monitor staff performance.
To keep the management inform of new development in the imaging area.
Explanation about Imaging tests to guest during tour to CHHT.
Attend management and operation meeting.
Training for new Radiographer, Imaging Technician in technical aspect.
Training for other staffs periodically.
Monitor the report compilations and printing of Imaging report for member and for filing, maintenance of members record.
To prepare documents for locum Radiologist payment.
To verify documents for ordering x-ray consumables/stock.
Calculate exposure factors, practice radiation protection and technique when necessary and prepare/update radiographic technique charts.
Care for physical and psychological needs of the guests during examinations and procedure.
Maintains guest records and radiographic technique charts.
Detecting and reporting of equipment malfunction.
Maintains cleanliness in the department.
Assists staff in operations within standardized departmental policies and procedures.
Perform other duties of a similar level and responsibility as assigned.
- REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:-
Possess Degree or Diploma in Medical Imaging
Minimum 2 years working experience as radiographer in Hospital.
- REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:-
Experience in handling of Mammogram, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) & Computer Tomography (CT) Scan and as in charge person are the added advantage.
Proficient in English language communication; both verbal and written communication.
Proficient in Malay language communication; both verbal and written communication.
Proficient in other languages would be an added advantage.
