Overview We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs relating to building and civil engineering projects. Duties - Conduct cost estimates for construction projects - Manage project budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place - Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable prices - Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare accurate quantity take-offs - Monitor construction sites to assess progress and address any cost-related issues - Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for estimating and quantity surveying tasks Requirements - Proven experience in project management, construction management, and construction estimating - Strong knowledge of building processes and materials - Ability to negotiate prices effectively - Proficiency in cost control techniques - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail - Familiarity with industry-specific software like HeavyBid and Bluebeam
