About the Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our growing Malaysia Team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong cost management acumen and keen to develop their skills in a rewarding and positive environment.

We are looking for professionals with strong problem solving and analytical skills, and a keen interest in new way of working and emerging technologies. You will enjoy interacting with a diverse range of people, demonstrate initiative and develop strong time management and communication skills.

What You'll Bring

The role will encompass working on a variety of projects in the engineering and/or construction sectors. In order to be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and expertise:

• Relevant Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years experience in Data Centre projects.
• 5-10 years post graduate experience in quantity surveying or cost management roles
• Working towards or have achieved MRICS or AIQS status is beneficial but not necessary
• Experience in the pre-construction feasibilities and cost planning
• Experienced in contract administration including change management on projects
• Experienced in commercial management and interpretation of cost data
• Experienced in taking a lead role and interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities
• Experience in using tools such as CostX and PowerBi
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication skills including report writing.
• Highly developed organisation and time management skills.
• Prefer candidates who are capable of conducting take-offs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works, but it's not mandatory.
• Preference for candidates with prior experience in consultancy firms.
