Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor at Fixus Construction Sdn Bhd. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting. The Quantity Surveyor will also be involved in providing accurate cost advice and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on time.
Manage, monitor, coordinate and control overall costing and budget.
- Assist in value engineering exercise for optimization of project cost / budget.
Taking-off quantity, preparation of BQ, calling for quotation, and coordinating the subcontract procurement process. Preparation of documentation required for contract binding.
- Monitor project progress and timeline including preparation of documentation required for EOT, VO and Loss & Expense claim.
Liaison with client/consultant/supplier including drafting of all necessary correspondence.- Assist in advising project team on contractual related matters.
Site valuation/site measurement/final account for progress claim with clients and sub-contractors.
- Attending meeting with clients/subcontractors for monthly progress certification, variation works, etc.
Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Proficiency in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Reporting- Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost planning
Knowledge of construction industry regulations and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
Professional certification or membership in a relevant industry association is a plus
