QUANTITY SURVEYOR (CSA & MEP)

Experienced in preparing cost plans / budget estimates and cost reports from concept development right through detailed design to construction and commissioning.

• Evaluating forms of contract and advise on their suitability.

Assist project managers with project programming matters and procurement of resources.

• Prepare tender enquiry packages for CSA (contract-sum-analysis) contracts.

Perform analysis and reporting of contractor tender bids.

• Familiar with MEP (mechanical and electrical) aspects of a project.

Overseeing cost control, BOQ, cost management, cost planning and cost reporting on a project basis.

• Working collaboratively with project teams to ensure on-time project delivery and cost control.

Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.

• Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.

• Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

• Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidate should have:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

• At least 3 years prior experience in construction or a related field.

Min 2 years previous working experience in fast-track projects is required.

• Min 2 years INDUSTRIAL FACTORY or Data Centre experience is required.

Able to work with minimum supervision.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Experience with relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Revit will be an added advantage.

• Willing to travel to other states throughout Malaysia.

Fresh graduates who have a positive attitude and willing to learn will also be considered.

• Location : Penang office.
