Job Purpose:
To oversees and ensures top-quality standards throughout all stages of HVDC project execution. Responsibilities include implementing robust quality management systems, conducting audits, managing non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, the manager drives continuous improvement to deliver high-quality, reliable projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality management plans and procedures for HVDC projects.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Manage non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to identify quality requirements and ensure their implementation.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams and suppliers on quality-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills/Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in quality management within the HVDC industry, with a strong understanding of HVDC technology and systems.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
